Apple Crumble

Filling:

6 large apples cut into even size pieces

28g Sugar

28g Sultanas

1 tbsp Flour

1 tsp Cinnamon 

Topping:

300g Flour

175g Sugar

200g Butter

Preheat oven to 350F Gas Mark 4

Mix the flour, sugar then add the butter. Mix until it is like bread crumbs. A few lumps is not  a problem. You can add a few chopped nuts to the crumb mix.

Put the apple pieces into a deep baking dish and add the sugar, sultanas and cinnamon and mix together.

Pour the crumb topping onto the apples and press down lightly.

Bake for around 45 minutes until the topping is well browned.

Serve with custard.
