Dauphinoise Potato Recipe

500g Potatoes
200ml Double cream
100ml Milk
1 Crushed clove garlic
1 Pinch thyme
Salt & Pepper

Preheat the oven to 190c or Gas 5

Peel the potatoes and cut into approximately 4mm thick slices.

In a saucepan bring the cream, milk, garlic and thyme to the boil then season with salt and pepper.

Layer the potato into an 18cm ovenproof dish and pour over the cream mixture.

Place the dish in the preheated oven and cook for 1 hour, until the potato is tender.
